Full basement cleanouts, unfinished basement cleaning, and basement trash removal across New Haven, Hartford, Middlesex, Litchfield, and Fairfield counties. We carry everything up the stairs, haul it away, and leave the floor swept — you just point at what goes.
Get a Free Basement Cleanout QuoteEvery item comes up the stairs or out the bulkhead on our crew’s backs, not yours. Tight stairwells and low ceilings are routine.
Metal, electronics, and donatable furniture are pulled out for recycling and reuse instead of going straight to disposal.
The price is based on how much space your items take in the truck. You get it before we start, and it does not change mid-job.
When the last load is out, we sweep the floor so you are left with an empty, usable basement rather than a dusty outline of where the boxes were.
Clear one corner, one storage room, or the entire basement. Keep what you want; we take the rest.
Most residential basements are cleared in a single visit. Larger or packed-to-the-ceiling jobs are planned out with you in advance.
An unfinished basement collects things differently than a finished one. There is no drywall or carpet to protect, so it becomes the default spot for everything that does not have a place: paint cans from three houses ago, the old water heater, lumber offcuts, a dehumidifier that stopped working, broken shelving units, and boxes sitting directly on bare concrete.
Our unfinished basement cleaning service is built for exactly that space. We clear the floor, take down and haul away freestanding shelving and workbenches you no longer want, remove the bulky items that have been waiting for a second set of hands, and finish with a broom sweep of the concrete. The result is a clean, open slab you can actually use — for storage, a workshop, or a fresh start.
If you are planning to frame, insulate, and drywall the basement, it has to be empty first. Contractors cannot quote accurately or start work around a basement full of belongings. We clear it ahead of the project so your contractor walks into an open slab on day one. If there is leftover material from a previous project — old studs, scrap drywall, ceiling tiles — we take that too.
Unfinished basements are where the mechanicals live. When a plumber or HVAC company replaces equipment, the old unit is sometimes left behind. We remove old water heaters, dehumidifiers, and other appliances that have been disconnected. Anything still connected to gas, oil, or water needs to be disconnected by a licensed trade before we haul it.
To be clear about the scope: we clear and broom-clean. We do not do mold remediation, water extraction, or waterproofing. If your basement has active water or visible mold growth, those should be handled by the appropriate specialist — we are happy to clear the contents before or after they do their work.
Not every job is a full cleanout. Sometimes the problem is a few months of garbage bags, broken-down boxes, and recycling that never made it to the curb, or the leftovers from a tenant who moved out of a basement apartment. Basement trash removal is the same service at a smaller scale: we carry out the bags and loose debris, load it, and take it away. Smaller loads are priced by the space they take in the truck, so you are not paying for a full cleanout when you only need part of one.
We do not haul hazardous materials such as liquid paint, solvents, fuel, propane tanks, pesticides, or asbestos-containing material. If any of that is in your basement, set it aside and we will point you to the right disposal option.
A few photos of the basement and the stairs or bulkhead give us most of what we need to quote. For large jobs we can look at it in person.
Pricing is based on volume — how much truck space the job takes — plus access and any heavy items. You approve it before we lift anything.
The crew carries everything up and out, sorting recyclables and donations as we load. You do not need to pre-sort or stage anything by the door.
We sweep the floor and do a last walkthrough with you so nothing you meant to keep leaves on the truck.
Every basement is priced on volume, access, and what is in it. A few bags of trash and an old dehumidifier is a very different job than a packed unfinished basement with a chest freezer at the bottom of a narrow staircase. Every job is subject to our $150 minimum. For a working estimate before you call, try our junk removal cost calculator.
Estimates are a starting point only. Contact us with photos for true pricing on your basement.
Still deciding? Read whether there is a service that will clean out a cluttered basement and what a basement cleaning service includes. If the basement is only part of the job, we also handle garage cleanouts, estate cleanouts, appliance removal, and furniture removal — and doing them in the same visit usually costs less than booking them separately.
Yes. We clear everything out of the unfinished basement, remove unwanted shelving, workbenches, and debris, and broom-sweep the concrete floor. We do not do mold remediation, waterproofing, or deep chemical cleaning.
No. Carrying items up the stairs is the hardest part of the job, and it is included. We take everything from where it sits.
Both. Basement trash removal for a smaller load is priced by the truck space it uses, subject to our job minimum.
Yes. We haul wet boxes, furniture, carpet, and other contents you have decided not to save. If you are filing an insurance claim, photograph everything before we remove it.
We take disconnected water heaters and appliances. Gas, oil, and water lines must be disconnected by a licensed professional first. Oil tank removal involves its own regulations and is not part of a standard cleanout.
Not necessarily. Once the scope is confirmed by photos and we have access, we can complete the work and settle up remotely.
