How Cubicle Removal Works

Walkthrough and Count

We count workstations, check the panel system, and confirm freight elevator and dock access before quoting.

Written Quote

A fixed price for a defined scope, so it can be approved by facilities or finance without changing later.

Proper Teardown Sequence

Panels, surfaces, bins, and pedestals come apart in order, safely, without damaging the space around them.

After-Hours Work

Evenings and weekends so an occupied floor keeps working while the teardown happens.

Insured, with COI

Certificates issued to your landlord or building management before we get on the freight elevator.

Donation and Recycling

Usable workstations routed to donation or resale; steel frames and components recycled.

What We Remove from Offices

Systems Furniture

  • Cubicle panels and partitions
  • Work surfaces and corner units
  • Overhead bins and shelves
  • Box-box-file and mobile pedestals
  • Panel-mounted tack boards and lighting
  • Base raceway and trim

Office Furniture

  • Desks, credenzas, and returns
  • Task and conference chairs
  • Conference and training tables
  • Filing cabinets and lateral files
  • Bookcases and storage cabinets

Reception and Common Areas

  • Reception desks and millwork
  • Lobby and lounge seating
  • Break room tables and appliances
  • Lockers and coat storage

Technology and Debris

  • Monitors, computers, and printers
  • Server racks and network gear
  • Phones, cabling, and e-waste
  • Demolition and reconfiguration debris

Anything hard-wired — panel power feeds, floor monuments, and building circuits — needs a licensed electrician to disconnect before teardown. We coordinate the sequence with your electrician so neither trade is waiting on the other.

Why Companies Book Cubicle Removal

Downsizing and Hybrid Work

The most common reason now. A company that built out for a full floor of daily staff no longer needs three quarters of the workstations. We remove what is no longer used so the remaining space can be reconfigured into something that fits how the team actually works.

Office Reconfiguration

Replacing high-panel cubicles with benching, open desks, or collaborative space. We clear the old system out ahead of the new install so your furniture vendor is not working around a pile of panels.

Move-Out and Lease Exit

Leaving the space entirely. Most commercial leases require the premises returned broom-clean with tenant furniture removed, and the cost of missing that is generally worse than the cost of the cleanout. Related: office cleanout services.

Consolidation and Closure

Merging offices or closing a Connecticut location. For multi-site work we keep one scope and one point of contact across every building.

Where Your Old Cubicles Go

Used cubicles have a limited resale market, and honesty is more useful here than optimism. Newer systems from major manufacturers in good condition sometimes have donation or liquidation value, and where they do, we will point you to it before we haul anything. Older, damaged, or heavily customized panels generally do not — those get broken down so the steel frames and components can be recycled rather than landfilled.

Either way, you get a straight answer during the walkthrough rather than a promise that quietly turns into a disposal run.

What Cubicle Removal Costs

Cubicle work is priced by project, driven mostly by workstation count, teardown labor, and how hard the material is to get out of the building.

Cubicle Removal FAQs

Do you disassemble the cubicles, or do we?

We do. Teardown is part of the job — panels, surfaces, bins, and pedestals come apart in the correct order and leave the building in pieces.

Can you work after hours so we can stay open?

Yes, and on an occupied floor it is usually the right call. Evening and weekend work keeps the noise and the freight elevator traffic away from your staff.

Can you provide a certificate of insurance?

Yes. Most commercial buildings require a COI naming the landlord and management company before any contractor uses the freight elevator, and we can issue that in advance.

What about the electrical in the panels?

Panel power has to be disconnected by a licensed electrician before teardown. We do not perform electrical work, but we will coordinate our schedule around your electrician so the sequence works.

Can our old cubicles be donated?

Sometimes. Newer systems in good condition occasionally have donation or resale value; older and damaged panels usually do not. We will tell you honestly which category yours fall into during the walkthrough.

How long does a cubicle teardown take?

It depends on workstation count and building access more than square footage. A small suite can be a single evening; a full floor is typically a multi-day project. The walkthrough gives you a real schedule, not an optimistic one.
