Yard Debris and Junk Pile Removal in Connecticut
That pile in the back corner of the yard did not appear overnight, and it is not going to leave on its own. We haul away years of accumulated junk, scrap, and debris from Connecticut backyards — no sorting, no trailer rental, no eight trips to the transfer station.
How Yard Debris Removal Works
Send Us a Photo
A couple of pictures of the pile and a note about how to reach the backyard gets us most of the way to a real number.
Upfront Pricing
You get the price before we start, based on volume. It does not change once the crew is working.
We Do All the Handling
No staging, no dragging it to the curb, no sorting. Point at it and we take it from where it sits.
Backyard Access
Narrow side yards, gates, slopes, and long carries are normal for us. We bring the crew size the access requires.
Same Visit Cleanup
We rake the footprint out so you get usable yard back, not a rectangle of dead grass and buried nails.
Recycling First
Metal, appliances, and e-waste are separated for recycling instead of going straight to disposal.

Why a Backyard Junk Pile Is Worth Removing
It Is Housing Something
A woodpile against a fence is exactly what rodents, snakes, and carpenter ants are looking for, and a pile that touches your house is an invitation to bring all three inside. Standing water in tarps, buckets, and an old tire is where mosquitoes breed.
It Is a Safety Problem
Rusted metal, exposed nails in weathered lumber, and a rotting trampoline frame are hazards, especially if kids or pets use the yard. Dry stacked wood and debris against a structure is also a fire risk.
It Is Costing You Yard
A pile does not just occupy its own footprint. It kills the grass around it, spreads as things get set down beside it, and puts a corner of your property permanently off limits.
You Are Selling or Renting
A visible junk pile reads as deferred maintenance to a buyer, an inspector, or a tenant, and it costs more in perception than it does to remove. It also comes up in town blight complaints more often than people expect.
When the Junk Pile Has Grown Into the Ground
A pile that has been in place for years is rarely just sitting on the surface. The bottom layer sinks, grass and weeds grow through it, and the whole thing has to be pulled apart rather than picked up. Wood that has been on wet ground is heavier than it looks and often comes apart in pieces.
That is normal and it is what we plan for. It matters for the quote, though, so mention it when you reach out — a pile that has been there two months and one that has been there ten years are different jobs even if they look similar in a photo.
What Junk Pile Removal Costs
Pricing is based on volume — how much space the pile takes up in our truck — plus access and what is actually in it.

Related Backyard Removal Services
A backyard pile often comes with something bigger attached. We also handle shed removal and demolition, above-ground pool removal, hot tub removal, and garage cleanouts — and it is usually cheaper to do them in the same visit than to book them separately.

Specific Backyard Removals
Some things in the pile come with their own problems. These are the ones we get asked about most: trampoline, swing set and playset removal, old lumber and scrap wood piles, and fence and deck debris after a teardown.
Yard Debris and Junk Pile Removal FAQs
Do I need to move the pile to the driveway first?
No. That is the part most people dread and it is included. We take it from where it sits, whether that is the back corner of the yard, behind a shed, or down a slope.
Do I need to sort it?
No. We separate metal, appliances, and electronics for recycling as we load. The only thing to pull out beforehand is hazardous material and anything you actually want to keep.
Do I have to be home?
Not necessarily. If the pile is accessible and you are comfortable with it, we can confirm the scope by photo, do the work, and settle up remotely.
What if there are nails and sharp metal in it?
That is expected in a pile that has been sitting. Our crews work in the right gear and we rake the footprint afterward to pull out what worked its way into the ground.
Can you take a collapsed shed?
Yes. A shed that has already come down is debris removal, and one still standing is shed removal and demolition. We do both.
Is fall a good time to do this?
It is the best time. The vegetation growing through the pile has died back so we can actually get at it, the ground is firm, and clearing it before winter means you are not finding it again under snow in March.
